DEADBEAT and PAUL ST HILAIRE - The Infinity Dub Sessions - BLKRTZ

Deadbeat. Tikiman. Infinity. Dub. A quadrangle of such obvious statement and perfect musical inference may very well never have been uttered for those of the wholly weeded out persuasion with a discerning ear to the ground of current musical runnings. Indeed, when the great book of Dub is written the names Scott Monteith and Paul St Hilaire will undoubtedly figure highly in its chapters devoted to recent years. Monteith, the last great prodigal son of the doctrine handed down from the Blue Mount of Lord Scratch and King Tubby, St Hilaire the undisputed voice of a whole generation of cloistered bedroom sound smiths, those fanatical warrior monks, followers of the most Holy House of Ernestus and Von Oswald incarnate. 
Having developed a fast friendship from their very first meeting in Montreal at the premier Micro Mutek event a decade ago, Deadbeat and Tikiman's occasional collaborative performances have since blown the minds of audiences from Berlin to Tokyo and many points in between. No great surprise then that their first album length venture is a Tour de Force of Dub music of the highest order.
 Nearly a year in the making, the genetic code of Deadbeat's Infinity Dubs series gets shot through with a Dreader than Dread Kingstonian logic, hi hats dropping back from the three to the one, Tikiman at his most militant, poetic, fierce, and flowing. These are the recordings of two lions uncaged, and none who bare witness shall escape their fiery judgement.
If music is truly eternal, here be two voices which shall echo in infinity with all the weight, reverence, and dire power unleashed with every tectonic bass hit, and every whimsical turn of phrase here laid to wax. And if these eight burnt offerings are any indication of what happens when these two sit down for a session of smoke and reasoning, here's hoping they choose to do it frequently. Dub without end. Ad Infinitum.
The Infinity Dub Sessions will be available on CD and 2x12 vinyl formats via BLKRTZ, with worldwide distribution through Kompakt on March 3rd 2014.

SUB:STANCE vinyl box segna il 5° anniversario e l'edizione finale dell'omino party tenutosi al Berghain segnando il suo passaggio con 7 brani esclusivi di artisti che han fatto la differenza per il loro suono.
SUB:STANCE è stata la collisione di due mondi: la vitalità della musica UK bass intrecciata all'euforia sensoriale e all'atmosfera unica che si respira al Berghain. 
Iniziato nel luglio 2008, SUB:STANCE ha visto passare alla consolle i più fiorenti esponenti della musica d'oltre manica e non solo, nomi come Scuba, Martyn, The Bug, Pearson Sound, Mala, Gilles Peterson, MJ Cole, Mount Kimbie, Deadbeat e molti altri che hanno prodotto eventi memorabili portando il suono dubstep nella mecca della techno.

Atmosfera, Dark, Techno, la fusione di questi tre elementi dà come risultato finale In Flux EP.
Marco Freivogel e Ingo Gansera, in arte Exercise One, sono un duo tedesco dalle vedute molto interessanti e con un pedigree alle spalle che lo è ancor di più.
 Essì, perché se Ingo negli anni addietro era batterista di un gruppo punk di Berlino e quindi musicalmente lontanissimo dalla techno, Marco era appassionato di musica e cultura goth. Insomma, niente poteva far presagire un futuro (peraltro roseo) nella musica elettronica. 
Ma si sa, l’amore è amore, e per loro due la techno è stato amore a prima vista.

THE ORB Featuring LEE SCRATCH PERRY - Ball Of Fire - Cooking Vinyl

Il 13 Maggio 2013 segnerà l'uscita del nuovo singolo "Ball Of Fire" dei mitici  "The Orb" featuring il maestro e fondatore del Reggae e del Dub "Lee Scratch Perry".
Questa uscita vedrà la luce con una selezione assassina di remix prodotta da esploratori esperti come Deadbeat e Mad Professor, che forniscono entrambe versioni vocal e dub.

DEADBEAT - Primordia Ep - BLKRTZ

Deadbeat è competenza allo stato puro, non c'è storia.

Canadese, sound engeneer, ha lavorato nel mondo della creazione di strumenti musicali digitali per la Applied Acoustics Systems. Insoddisfatto, nel 2001 decide di lasciare tutto e diventare musicista vero a tempo pieno. Mai scelta fu più azzeccata: in 15 anni di musica etichette come Wagon Repair, Echocord e Scape pubblicano decine di tracce, album e eps accogliendo le sue ricerche basate sulla dub e la techno strictly minimal.

Owner dal 2011 dell'etichetta BLKRTZ, Scott Monteith (questo il suo vero nome) ha costruito con essa un piccolo e personalissimo laboratorio di ricerca, una piattaforma sulla quale poter dirottare e dar spazio al suo lato più sperimentale ai limiti dell'analitica.
